In Memory of Timothy Giles Paxman CMG LVO (1951–2025)
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Giles Paxman, former British Ambassador to Mexico, who died on the 8th of March 2025.
Giles served as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Mexico from 2005 to 2009, a role in which he worked tirelessly to strengthen the ties between the United Kingdom and Mexico.
His professionalism, warmth, and deep respect for Mexico earned him admiration from colleagues and friends alike.
He was a great supporter and friend to the British Mexican Society in London and often attended our events.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones especially his wife Ségolène Cayol, with whom he had three daughters.
Rest in peace, Giles. Thank you for your outstanding dedication and for your friendship.
