Earlier this summer, the British Mexican Society held an event with Dame Zandra Rhodes at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.
Did you know Rhodes was inspired by Mexico and a trip she took there in the mid-70s?
She was so taken by the colours and textiles of Mexico that when Dame Zandra founded The Fashion and Textile Museum, she sought out renowned Mexican architect, Ricardo Legorreta, to design the museum in the heart of Bermondsey.
Here are some photos of our recent event with Rhodes signing copies of her book “50 Fabulous Years in Fashion.” Her latest book “Iconic, My Life in Fashion in 50 Objects”, will be released July 18.
