A simple government scheme that lets BMS claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give at no cost to you whatsoever. Available to individual UK taxpayers only. It does not apply to Corporate memberships.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that lets us reclaim the basic rate of Income Tax on your membership fee at no extra cost to you. For every £1 you pay, we can claim an additional 25p from HMRC, boosting the value of your subscription by a quarter.

You likely qualify if you…
  • Live and pay income tax in the UK
  • Are employed or self-employed in the UK

  • Receive a UK pension

  • Pay UK Capital Gains Tax

You do not qualify if you…
  • Live outside the UK
  • Are a student not yet paying UK tax
  • Pay no UK income or capital gains tax
  • Are paying on someone else’s behalf
  • Are a company, business or organisation (Gift Aid is for individual taxpayers only)
